This was a terrific gift for my mom. The cover is huge so that none of the frosting will come off of the cake. It appears to be made for one big cake! But even with a single layer, the shiny glass turns your kitchen into a bakery, and don't be surprised if everyone in the household is found starring at the piece of art. Not to fear if you have kids though, they wouldn't dear stick their fingers in such a perfect cake, besides the fact that the cover is a bit heavy. I have no experience with the punch bowl, though I think it is very clever. I hope you buy this masterpiece. For a price of only $13, any budget can afford this beauty!Customer Review: FAB-U-LOUS!

This is THE best. It is made by Target and is very high quality and has nice sturdy glass. The domed lid fits perfectly into the cake stand that has a raised lip. The bottom is sturdy and doesn't wobble around. And if you invert the bottom of the cake stand and then turn the lid upside down, you have a punch bowl! The knob fits tightly into the base so there is no chance the punch bowl won't tip over. I just received my cakestand and I love it. I ordered it to use for my small wedding cake coming up on 9/6. The first one they sent me arrived shattered, but they quickly replaced it and it arrived faster & better-packaged than the first one. This simple style is still very attractive, and the glass is nice and heavy. And the price was VERY affordable!! I am sure I will get years and years of use out of this piece. I received this as a wedding gift and thought hmmmmmm. But, I have used it every year and at every party for punch. It is very sturdy and has lasted over 15 years of use. To clean, I just put it in the dishwasher! I would recommend this to anyone who needs an inexpensive punch bowl/cake stand. For quick punch simply put a tub of sherbert of your choice with one liter bottle of chilled ginger ale. Yummy!Customer Review: I Love it

I ordered this item. I loved it so much I ordered one for my mother. It is very elegant looking and it doubles as a punch bowl.
FYI, it is listed at $9.99 and you think WOW what a bargain and then you get to checkout and shipping is the same price (about $9.98)but it is glass and a little heavy so I suppose that is about right. $20 is still pretty reasonable anyway.
I love it.
