Customer Review: Great set of wiring pliers, if you treat them right.

These are great every day wiring pliers. For reference, every pair of these I've owned has been red and black, rather than the blue in the picture. I find the pairs I own much more attractive than those in the picture, though, so I think this is a surprise bonus.
The build quality of these pliers is the reason I give them only four stars. They work perfectly, so long as you don't treat them roughly or overuse them. Over frequent use, however, I've broken a set of these pliers by dulling the cutters, and I've also had the lock break on another set of them.
The kitschy little tab that locks the pliers into place when you're not using them is very delicate and easy to break, it simply bends up and suddenly the pliers are annoying to put in your pocket or store away closed. If you plan to subject these pliers to heavy or rough use, I'd recommend paying more, or storing them in a holster/precision toolbelt.
